Last week, while Kai was at camp, Alyssa turned 13!!!!!! I can't believe I'm the mother of a teenager! On Friday, her birthday, Roan went to work with daddy, which he loves to do, so Alyssa and I could spend the day with each other. We went shopping, bought some new clothes, a new bed set and curtains for her room, and opened her first bank account. For dinner, we went to the Melting Pot. She loved it! We went there for her birthday last year, and she wanted to do it again. The restaurant even gave her a birthday card that everybody had signed. She was impressed. Sunday, we went to see the movie '17 Again'. We both enjoyed it. We had a great weekend with lots of Mother/daughter time. Now, she's at camp and I miss her! Hi Angie! Sheridan is standing here with me & we wanted to wish Alyssa a happy belated birthday!! Do you remember they were in ballet class together in Lexington? Seems like long ago and not so long ago all at the same time. Can't believe how much they've grown. 13!!! Sheridan will be in a few weeks.
